The creamy whipped-cream nose leads into a palate with plenty to explore: butter icing and carrot cake meet banana, pistachios and mineral notes. I like that the finish shifts toward dry chardonnay and a little wood spice rather than simply extending the sweeter side. It sounds distinctive but still inviting, with the contrast between cake-like richness and a drier finish doing the work.
