Nose
Fully oaked, smooth, with furniture polish, old leather, bananas, beeswax, coconut oil, hints of lipstick, plums, black cherries, verbena tea, aniseed, bergamot, subtle gingerbread, and eucalyptus. Also like an old bookstore, varnished wood, raisins, heavy red wine, suede, and moist earth.
Palate
Bittersweet fruits (orange zest, banana, sour berries) with drying oak, Earl Grey, mint, ginger, eucalyptus, and hints of smoke. Herbal notes and leather give a rummy character. Salty edge with liquorice and salted butter toffee. Juicy blood orange, strong black tea, overripe raisins, coffee chocolates in dark chocolate, and notes of Perique tobacco.
Finish
Long, spicy, slightly bitter and dry like strong fruit tea. Leather and toasted oak, with late hints of espresso and pipe tobacco. Warming and long-lasting, with a heavy dry sweetness of old sherry, light roasted wood aromas, and a noble tobacco note of Maduro cigars.
