Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership is has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky. An iconic Italian importer and independent bottler, founded in Genoa in 1980 by Pepi Mongiardino. It is revered for its pioneering approach to the labelling and presentation of independent bottlings, particularly its use of serialised releases, many of which have become all-time classic collections.
