Description

This is a distillery-exclusive release for Feis Ile 2014 from Bowmore, bottled in 2014 at cask strength of 56.1% ABV with an outturn of 1,000 bottles. It was matured predominantly in first-fill bourbon casks, bringing vanilla, soft spice, and gentle oak influence to Bowmore's coastal, peated character, balancing smoke, sea salt, and malt richness. It was only available at the distillery.

Sweet peat transforming to smoke, sweet stew of cured meat and fruits, honey, citrus, oak, spicy pepper, salty, marine, vanilla, creme caramel, coconut, intense and ripe yellow fruit, toasted oak, berries, sea breeze, bitter notes of dark chocolate and crushed coffee beans.
Finish
Long, Oroblanco (Pomelo/Grapefruit), sweet peat, ash, smoked meat, oak wood spices, smooth despite young age, peaty, smoky, vanilla, long lasting, bitter, burnt sugar, dark chocolate with raspberry filling.
