Nose
Sweet and gentle smoke, coastal air, and ozone, with citrus, apricot, and a sugary sweetness. Briny notes, ferns, pines, salt, and mild iodine. Dark fruits, tobacco, and campfire smoke are present, alongside spiced oak and candied orange peel.
Palate
Oily and saline, with ripe and sour fruits, toffee, and caramel. A bitter and astringent character from cask spice. Lemon sourness, ashiness, and a distinct peatiness, with dark fruits, black liquorice, and tropical notes. Smoky dry oak, dried fruit, apple, cocoa, and butterscotch also emerge.
Finish
Medium to long, salty, and pleasantly astringent. Lingering tobacco, ashes, raisins, and plums, with tropical fruitiness and mellow peatiness. Peat, cinnamon, white pepper, and a sweet, smoky, chocolaty, and creamy character.
