The Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Sherry Cask Edition is an unpeated Islay single malt Scotch whisky, conceived, distilled, matured, and bottled at Bruichladdich Distillery. It is a travel retail-exclusive release, first unveiled in May 2024. This edition takes the distillery's signature unpeated Classic Laddie style, known for its floral and citrus notes, and offers a new perspective through cask influence. After initial maturation, the spirit is further rested in Oloroso sherry casks from Fernando de Castilla in Jerez, Spain, sometimes in combination with Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This process adds depth, dried fruit richness, and soft oak spice, while maintaining the characteristic Bruichladdich profile. It is matured exclusively on Islay, bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, and colouring-free. The distillery, part of Rémy Cointreau, is known for producing unpeated Bruichladdich, as well as peated Port Charlotte and heavily peated Octomore expressions.
