Nose
Intense smoky peat, reminiscent of campfires and burnt wood, coastal nuances of brine and dried seaweed, dried fruit, burnt caramel, cherry compote. With oxygenation, sweeter and more delicate tones of vanilla, green apple, and citrus emerge. [3]
Palate
Full-bodied, intense, and layered. Peat smoke takes center stage, dark chocolate, dried fruits, warm spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), cherry compote, red fruits, and toasted wood. STR cask maturation adds oak spiciness and integrated sweetness. [3]
Finish
Long and persistent. Smoke gradually fades, giving way to a dry finish. Notes of dried fruit, bitter chocolate, and a light lemony touch. Mineral and slightly bitter note, reminiscent of a spent ashtray. [3]
