Daftmill Summer Batch No. Release 12 Year Old, Bourbon Cask, 2012, 2025, 46%

Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, we grow all our own barley, sown in spring and harvested in summer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks a year. Francis and Ian Cuthbert look after the estate, growing the malting barley, which is then sent to the maltings. The barley variety Concerto was grown in the Sods and Eastfield fields and harvested in August 2011. It was then dried and malted at the farm to be malted in Alloa during the spring of 2012. This twelve year old Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels, which had previously been used to mature bourbon, were filled into cask in July and August 2012 and bottled in June 2025.
