Description

Dalwhinnie is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland, located in the Cairngorm National Park. This 15 Year Old Centenary Edition was released in 1998 to celebrate the distillery's 100th anniversary (1898-1998) with a limited bottling of 5000 bottles. It is part of Diageo's Classic Malts of Scotland collection and is known for its gentle, honeyed, and slightly smoky character.

Nose
A big, crisp, dry and very aromatic nose with hints of heather and peat, honey, vanilla, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard, floral notes, apple blossom, honeysuckle, apple peels, and pear.
Palate
Smooth, soft and lasting flavours of heather-honey sweetness, vanilla, walnuts steeped in manuka honey, sponge cake, citrus-fruit, malted bread, gentle smoke, and a touch of spice.
Finish
Long, lingering, surprisingly intense finish that starts sweetly, then gives way to smoke, peat, malt, walnut, almond, and sometimes ginger and dried bitter lemon.
