Description

Launched in 1997, this 'Distillers Edition' range from Diageo sees the Classic Malts enhanced in carefully chosen wine casks. These limited release bottlings are a wonderful alternative view of some of the world's best loved whiskies. This Dalwhinnie was double matured in Oloroso Sherry casks, resulting in a sweetness and depth of character.

Palate
Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a spicy buzz, well-defined malt, a quick burst of sweetness, rich grape, cherries, stewed plums, raisins, orange peel, and hints of soft peat smoke.
Finish
Medium long and warming, with slight pepper, very light smoke, sherried fruits, dry oak, and vanilla.
