Nose
Starts with quite some walnuts and an obvious smokiness. Roasted chestnuts, coal, soot, pencil lead, leather… Old-style, very Highland. Waxy with hints of coal tar soap, grapefruit, lime, mango, pears, limestone, and subtle engine oil.
Palate
Malty and old Highland. Barley, citrus, oily texture, grapefruit, passion fruit, coal, soot, menthol, chocolate, and a touch of machine oil.
Finish
Grapefruit-forward, followed by soot, minerals, subtle machine oils, passion fruit, coal tar soap, camphor, and wax. Very nice!
