Description

This is a 6-year-old lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky from The Glasgow Distillery, part of their Small Batch Series. It is a limited edition release of 2250 bottles, initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks for over three years, followed by an extended secondary maturation of 3 years and 4 months in French Cognac casks.

Nose
Red apples and poached pear with soft vanilla ice cream, a dash of runny honey, and a hint of floral sweet smoke. Caramel, toffee, and butter notes are present, along with subtle smoke reminiscent of burnt toast smeared in apricot jam. Orchard fruits like conference pears and red apples are also found.
Palate
Creamy and smooth with notes of toffee apple, poached pear, rich salted caramel, and baked apple crumble. Peaches and cream sweets, butter toffees, and a more savory flavor with pastries and roast chicken crisps. A fresh menthol peppermint note appears.
Finish
Elegant and delicate with notes of honeydew melon, lemon zest, and apple crumble, accompanied by a light oak spice and a welcome wisp of sweet smoke. A long and deep finish reminiscent of roast chicken crisps, fresh thyme, and pine needle exhale.
