Description

Named after the company that operated out of Dundashill distillery in the early 1800s, the Glasgow Distillery Company was set up by Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall in 2013 and began producing Makar Gin in the early stages. Having laid down the first casks in March 2015, the Glasgow Distillery Co., hoping to welcome the new era of distilling in Glasgow, were able to proudly release their first single malt whisky. This particular release is a 5-year-old peated single malt, distilled in 2018, matured in virgin American white oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, bottled in 2024 at 60.1% ABV. It is a limited edition bottling, with only 80 bottles released, created for No Nonsense Whisky.
