Description
The Glasgow 1770 Syrah Wine Cask is a 5-year-old unpeated single malt Scotch whisky, part of the distillery's Small Batch Series. It was initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, with the spirit filled on February 17, 2020. It then underwent a finishing period of one year and ten months in Greek Syrah red wine barriques sourced from the island of Evia, before being bottled on March 5, 2025, at 59.3% ABV. This limited edition release, with an outturn of 652 bottles, is non-chill filtered and natural in color, offering a characterful profile with notes of dark fruits, vanilla, and spice.
