Description

A Speyside malt distillery that was originally built as a brewery in 1828 before converting to whisky production in 1897. It was an important part of the Macdonald & Muir portfolio in the 20th century, however as of 2008 has been owned by the La Martinquaise division of COFEPP in France. The former flagship brand of Perth-based independent bottler, Decadent Drinks, and the catalyst for the company... This Glen Moray single malt began life in a refill hogshead for 10 years, before it was re-racked into a first-fill Port barrique for the next 20 years. It was then bottled at 49.7%.
