Description
The second-oldest operating distillery in Campbeltown and one of the smallest in Scotland. Despite a turbulent 20th century, the distillery and its brand has enjoyed success in recent years under the ownership of Loch Lomond Group. This Glen Scotia 21 Year Old, a pre-2015 release, features a highland cow on the bottle and was aged for 21 years, matured in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and refill American oak hogsheads, before a six-month finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled without added colour or chill filtration. [cite: Whisky Auctioneer, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 24]
