Nose
Rich, sherried, balancing oak, spice. Five spice and manuka honey, dry autumn leafy granular smell, wet grass. Sweet desert tokay wine. Oaky, like thick toasted old oak.
Palate
Sherry, conserves, marmalade, oak builds. Thick sherried olive oil, macadamia oil, almond meal. Camphor and sandalwood. Prunes. Grandma's old orange marmalade with hazelnuts. Old English mustard. Drizzled honey on dark chocolate cake. Butter lollies. Extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish
Long, oaky, port and Tokaji. Still finishing, incredible. Burnt matchsticks (just there). Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
