Description

A 40-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenfiddich's Rare Collection, bottled in 2002. This expression is crafted using a unique 'remnant vatting' process, where remnants from previous 40 Year Old bottlings are married with specially selected casks, ensuring a continuous evolution of its rich and complex character. It was released as a limited edition of 600 bottles and comes presented in a luxurious wooden box.

Nose
Beautifully rich and aromatic with layer upon layer of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and ripe black cherries. Occasional wafts of gentle wood smoke, polished leather and cloves.
Palate
Silky smooth and luxuriously mouth coating. The initial flavours are intense dried fruits, Christmas cake, dates, raisins and stewed apples. Over time slightly dryish oak notes appear with some bitter chocolate and just the merest hint of peat.
Finish
Incredibly long lasting and complex – a truly memorable experience.
