Description

A Highland malt distillery located in Dumgoyne, a small village to the north of Glasgow. For over a century it was synonymous with the blenders, Lang Brothers, however it was acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2003 and has been transformed into a highly-regarded single malt brand. Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 007 is an exceptional small-batch expression from the renowned Glengoyne Distillery. Bottled at natural cask strength (58.9% ABV) and unchillfiltered, this whisky delivers the full richness, complexity, and intensity of Glengoyne's slow-matured Highland single malts, making it a standout for collectors and connoisseurs alike. It is crafted using a combination of first-fill European and American oak Oloroso Sherry casks, refill casks, and ex-Bourbon barrels.

Inviting aromas of orchard fruits, dried apricots, honey, sherry, and toasted oak with hints of warm spice. Butterscotch and toffee, faint sour oranges, peach, vanilla, cinnamon, orange, banana, maltiness.
Palate
Full-bodied and robust, featuring layers of caramel, dark chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, and subtle oak sweetness. Honey and oranges, citric note, blueberries, vanilla and caramel fudge, red chilli peppers, almonds, salty plums, ginger cream, olive oil, tobacco, worn leather, sultanas, dry blackcurrants and roasted walnuts, ripe banana, digestive biscuits.
Finish
Long, warming, and lingering with rich malt, spice, and sherry notes. Mid-long and stingy peppery, mocha and almonds, ginger cream, red plums and walnut cream, deep long finish.
