Description

Comes with 5cl wine oak miniature. The first commercial single malt whisky distillery in Taiwan, built by the King Car Group in 2005 and producing its first spirit the following year. The distillery takes its name from the indigenous Kavalan people of Taiwan's Kabalan Plain and the brand was launched in December 2008. Matured in re-charred American oak wine barrels, this single cask expression is bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered.

Nose
A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background. Intense red, purple and black fruits, with a hint of oaked chardonnay, salted dried plum, black grapes, white grapes, and various berries wrapped in vanilla and oak.
Palate
Clean and complex flavours with a long aftertaste. More salted dried plums, dark grapes and berries, with the chardonnay note in the background. A dark fruit onslaught, rich with red, black, and purple fruits. Full-bodied with robust aromas of toffee, chocolate, spices, and ripe fruit.
Finish
Long and quite sweet, not as oaky as the nose or palate. Long and dry.
