Description

An early and highly regarded release from Kilchoman, the Spring 2010 Release was the distillery's third limited edition bottling. It was initially matured for three years in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels, then finished for three to three and a half months in active Oloroso sherry butts. Four refill bourbon barrels were also added to the vatting. This Islay single malt is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and without colouring. Kilchoman, established in 2005, was the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years, known for growing and malting much of its own barley on site.

Palate
