Nose
Sweetness, lemon drizzle cake, sugary orange, peat (not overpowering), bacon notes. With water: bonfire, damp peat, new leather. Incredibly soft, clean, crisp, with delicate vanilla and elegant sherry notes.
Palate
Lemon sweetness, bacon. Peat is less than expected, hot alcohol burn. With water: peat comes forward, leathery, thick, creamy, slight sherried sweetness. Super-smooth, rich, warm, sweet, caramel, soft fruit (apples, grapes), soft spices (cinnamon, nutmeg).
Finish
Long, peaty, leathery notes, lemon zest. Caramel and fruits, warm and very long. Peat is laid back, acting as a comforting cushion for sweeter notes.
