Description

Distilled in 1983 at Wick's Pulteney Distillery, this limited edition Highland single malt has matured for over 33 years in a combination of American and Spanish oak casks, creating an elegantly balanced single malt. Finished in ex-oloroso sherry barrels, this is a rich and chocolatey Old Pulteney with undertones of stewed fruit and toffee.

Nose
Deep, dark, round, plentiful, full of furniture polish, leather, orange peels, apricots, cinnamon, candlewax, pineapple, and chocolate. Stewed fruit and toffee with spicy vanilla and oily citrus.
Palate
Tropical fruits, more pineapple, plums, wood, shaving foam, almonds, and a delicious creaminess with a soft and velvety mouthfeel. Full-bodied with a sweet and savoury heart, salted caramel and dry fruit while honey and vibrant, spicy vanilla build contrast and breadth of flavour.
Finish
A soft spiciness, growing, with two waves of warmth and flavor, ending in a sherry-heavy, winey, dry lingering taste with a fading backdrop of fruit. Creamy, long and elegant.
