Description

This Teaninich 1983 Single Cask 33 Year Old is an independent bottling by Berry Bros. & Rudd. Distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2017, this Highland single malt was produced before the distillery's more recent modernization, offering a taste of 'old skool' Teaninich. Teaninich is known for its unique use of a mash filter, producing a clear, crisp whisky. Berry Bros. & Rudd, a historic London wine merchant established in 1698, bottled this single cask release.

Nose
A beguiling and fruity malt with perfumed aromas, notes of passion fruit, lime, polished oak, honey, chalk, peach in syrup, balsa, cedar, and a waxy, bright quality with ripe pears, banana, guava, tinned fruit salad, honeyed yoghurt, and pancake batter.
Palate
Wonderfully oily and delicate waxiness, with vanilla, yellow fruit, honey, toasty influence, sweet peach, olive oil, umami, leather, barley sugar, oaty cereals, sunflower oil, baking soda minerality, and a building wave of white pepperiness.
Finish
Graceful with liquorice, oak, sweet fruit, heather, icing sugar, long, sweet honey, slightly citric, and quite dry.
