Description

Teeling Distillery is located in the centre of Dublin City. With the new distillery built in 2015 being the first one built in the capital for over 125 years and just a stone's-throw from the site of their original distillery, Teeling look at keeping with tradition but with a strong focus on progression creating a strong portfolio of some of the best whiskies in Ireland. This Teeling Distillery Exclusive is a blended Irish whiskey that uses their award-winning Small Batch base, initially aged in ex-bourbon casks, and then finished in Virgin Irish Oak barrels. It was released to mark St. Patrick's Day 2021 and is part of a series exploring unique wood types.

Fresh coffee & sweet cacao intermingled with citrus peel and leather with a slight floral background, warm wood spice, nutmeg and cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, ripe banana, peach, lemon peel, pecans.
Palate
Big hits of vanilla and caramel texture, warming oak spice, milk chocolate, salted caramel, coffee, ripe pear, spicy touches, leather and tobacco leaves, ripe dates, liquorice.
Finish
Prolonged finish dominated by black peppercorns and clove giving way to oak tannins and a background of vanilla sweetness, wood spice, dry tannic finish, dry pepper, lingering hint of liquorice.
