Nose
Raisins and syrupy plums notes quickly blend into dark muscovado sugar, milky latte and toasty vanilla. Charred oak, mulch and husky malt maintain the dark, earthy profile. Cured leather, dark roast coffee beans, dark cocoa nibs. Balsamic vinegar.
Palate
Punchy wood spice, treacle sponge, some brown bread and damson compôte at first. Pinot Noir, bitter salted chocolate and earthy herbal qualities blend underneath. Thick, syrupy body. Intense wood spice, clove and nutmeg. Chocolate sponge, coffee and walnut cake, yeasty bread and unrefined sugars.
Finish
Long and a little leathery, with some spearmint hints and soft earth. Dusty cocoa continues through the finish. Long, drying with wood tannins and offering clove, nutmeg and damp earthiness.
