The oldest single malt whisky distillery in Japan, founded in 1923 by Shinjirō Torii. Nose
Bold ripe fruits, freshly brewed tea and rich mahogany. Guava and Vienna almonds laced with an underlying brush of coconut cream in due time.
Palate
Rich, indulgent sweetness with just a hint of lemon twist. Full and round mouthfeel with the barrel creaminess coating the tongue, a hint of caramelised banana mush with some wee hay and earthy notes on the back end.
Finish
The finishing grows softer but is long-lasting, still it carries a hint of banana essence with a mild floral note.
