Description
One of the last remaining distilleries from Campbeltown's glory days as "whisky capital of the world", Glen Scotia's versatility made it extremely useful to blenders; a factor that undoubtedly played a part in its survival of the 1920s cull. This 11-year-old limited edition single malt was distilled in 2008 with unpeated spirit, initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, and then finished in a combination of first-fill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry hogsheads before being married back in bourbon casks. Bottled at natural cask strength of 54.1% ABV and non chill-filtered, only 15,000 bottles were released worldwide in late 2020.
