Description

The Glenallachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 9 is an exceptional Speyside single malt, bottled at its natural strength of 58.1% ABV. This limited edition whisky is a marriage of whiskies aged for a minimum of 10 years in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, along with Rioja barriques and medium charred/medium toasted American Virgin Oak barrels. Crafted by Master Distiller Billy Walker, it is non-chill filtered and presented with natural color.

Bursting with ripe red berries, hazelnuts, and heather honey, with hints of orchard fruits, cinnamon spice, and gingersnaps. Also notes of mocha, fig syrup, and toasted hazelnuts, with a touch of molasses tart.
Palate
Lashings of dark chocolate, honeycomb, and caramelised demerara sugar, followed by notes of treacle, mocha, and ginger. Intense baking spices and brandied cherries, Black Forest gâteau, and grilled honeycomb. Red berries with a hit of black pepper, cocoa, and ginger spice.
Finish
Hints of plum and toffee, long and satisfying, with lingering notes of molasses, damson plum, and dark chocolate. Sweet caramel and oak spice.
