Description

I.W. Harper 15 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a refined and balanced expression with a rich history, originally launched in 1879. After being primarily sold internationally for decades, this 15-year-old bourbon was reintroduced to the U.S. market in 2015. It is distilled at the New Bernheim Distillery (now part of Heaven Hill) and matured in new American white-oak barrels. This bourbon is known for its smooth, easy-sipping character and has received accolades such as Double Gold in 2022 and Gold in 2021 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Nose
Delightfully light with fruit notes of blueberries, raspberries, cherries, dried apricot, and raisin, alongside vanilla, honey, and light oak. Hints of citrus peel and subtle leather may emerge.
Palate
Creamy and smooth with an initial sweetness of vanilla, caramel, and corn, followed by fruitcake, berries, dried fruit, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. Delicate spice notes of cinnamon or ginger, and a hint of licorice or leather.
Finish
Short to moderate or medium to long, with lingering berry compote, drying oak, caramel-vanilla warmth, and a faint trace of leather, tobacco leaf, or graham cracker pie crust. It is polished and elegant.
