Description

The Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry Cask is a single cask, single malt whisky from this award-winning Taiwanese distillery. It's golden amber colour and sweetly smoked fruit flavours, with hints of toffee and fudge, come from its Fino sherry cask maturing - one of the palest and driest sherries. This expression is entirely aged in Fino sherry casks, the driest and rarest of all sherries, encompassing gourmet flavours with toffee, salted caramel, honey, and fruit flavours (mango and green apple).

Intense fruity flavours of mango and apple, with nutty notes reminiscent of walnuts. Hints of caramel, sugar syrup, brown sugar, leather, sultanas, coffee, peach, and sandalwood. Also, strawberries, cherries, dark fruit, vanilla, and citrus.
Palate
Thick and syrupy, with intense fruitiness of plums and strong sherry notes. Flavors of toffee, milk chocolate, nuts, caramel, blueberry jam, and a hint of boiled egg. Also, pepper, cinnamon, apples, oak, and spice. Natural sweetness with a gentle fudge flavor and dry smoked wood aromas. Rich plum, brandied cherries, dark chocolate, and the dry finesse of fino sherry.
Finish
Exceptionally long and intense, with roasted flavors and the sweetness of a dessert wine. Incredibly dry, yet flavorful with sweet sherry, dark fruit, and sugared grains. Lingers with coffee, sandalwood, and dried citrus. Pleasant mouth-drying sensation.
