For a period, Campbeltown was the undisputed Whisky Capital of the World, boasting over 30 distilleries operating simultaneously at its peak. Spicy and pungent with notes of MSG-like savouriness, BBQ chips, beef stock, smoked paprika, Heinz chili sauce, applewood smoke, industrial earthy metallic notes, machine shop, old tires, roast golden beets, mango, cola, lemongrass, orange, cranberry, and vanilla.
Palate
Oily texture, sweet and earthy with peat smoke, industrial funk, cola, savoury beef, herbs, citrus, sweet chili pork, pineapple, lime, onion, cilantro, 'hand cream', coconut, shea butter, stewed veggies, dill fronds, heavy minerals, phenolic, bittersweet citrus, artificial grape flavor, and machine oil.
Finish
Medium to long, with lingering industrial smoke, wrought iron, rock powders, deep earth, iodine, red and black pepper, pineapple, mango, orange peel, thyme, bitterness, lemon pith, medicine, and woody tannins.
