Description

A limited-release, 20-year-old blended Irish whiskey, the Midleton Very Rare 20th Anniversary Edition was released in 2004 to celebrate two decades of the Midleton Very Rare series. It is a blend of whiskeys matured in original 1984 casks from the Old Midleton distillery and casks from the new Midleton distillery. Only 400 bottles were produced, presented in a wooden box with two Waterford Crystal tumblers and a signed parchment scroll.

Spicy, nutty with hints of herbs and cedar, mature and full with notes of burnt oak, leather, dried herbs, pear, apple, plum, chocolate, orange, dried dates, raisins and wood.
Palate
Wonderfully complex flavours, soft marshmallow sweetness, ripe summer fruits, toasted oak and dried herbs with hints of wood and leather, intense and deep with notes of sherry, cappuccino, lemongrass, honey, vanilla, raisins, walnuts, oak and spices.
Finish
Long finish with a suggestion of green apples and gooseberries, long, rich and warming with tones of caramel, ripe fruit and oak.
