Nose
Citric and vegetal with cut grass, lemon, green tea, rhubarb, lemon pie, and cake. Discreet rum influence, whiffs of wet chalk. With water, it becomes more sourish, buttery, and smokier. Also notes of fine sweetness, smoke, banana, milk coffee, dried figs, peaches, clementines, flower blossoms, toasted grains, brown sugar, vanilla, pie crust, and madeira.
Palate
Roundness with candy sugar and sultanas. Hot but drinkable neat, growing lemony with green apples. With water, rum notes become more prominent, polished, and smooth with raisins and date liqueur. Also soft flavors of lemons, green apples, sultanas, toffee, caramelized fruits, and spicy notes. Peat reads more roasted than smoky, with vanilla extract, tapioca pudding, sweetness, roses, and peaches.
Finish
Malty and raisiny with lingering freshness. Long, malty, and smoky. Vanilla ice cream, tart limes and lemons, sweet rum, and a peppery heat.
