At the SGD 1,798.94 price reference, I’d be chasing the long, warm finish: cinnamon and sweet oak make the strongest case for me. The caramel-and-candy palate has appeal, though the subtle mustiness makes it a less straightforward fit.

The contrast between rich sweetness and baking spice is the draw here. Caramel, vanilla and brown sugar give the palate a generous base, while cinnamon and pepper bring a welcome lift to the long, warm finish. I’m especially drawn to that balance; the subtle mustiness keeps the sweetness from sounding entirely straightforward. It reads as bold and rich, with plenty of character in the notes.

The caramel and vanilla are joined by toasted oak and baking spice, with baked apple adding a sweeter turn. The long, warm finish gives this seven-year-old Kentucky bourbon a notably rich character.

Caramel and vanilla bring an easy sweetness, while toasted oak and baking spices keep things from getting too sugary. The baked-apple note adds a friendly little twist, and that long, warm finish sounds right up my street.

The most appealing contrast is the way baking spices meet brown sugar and baked apple on the palate, then carry into a finish with cinnamon, pepper, and sweet oak. That gives the sweetness some structure rather than letting it sit alone. Caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak set a clear, familiar bourbon tone, while the licorice and evergreen notes add a less expected edge. The subtle mustiness is a small counterpoint to the otherwise bold, rich character.
